Rental conditions and key information

Service can be provided by call or chat in several languages: Bulgarian, English, Hebrew and Russian. We strive to respond quickly and we do not use robots or automated messages. Your communication is with a real agent who will assist you personally.
2. Online inquiry through the company website: www.rentacarsofia.com - by filling out a short form regarding the parameters of your rental, available on every internal page of our website. Once we receive it, you will get confirmation about availability at the email or phone number you provided, as well as further instructions for completing your reservation. Please note that filling out the reservation form does NOT guarantee that a vehicle is reserved!

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RENTER:

Minimum age requirement: minimum 20 years old.

Drivers between 20–22 years pay a “Young Driver” fee (5–10 EUR per day depending on the car class).

Driving experience requirement: minimum 1 year.

Drivers with 1–2 years of experience pay a “New Driver” fee of 5–10 EUR per day depending on the car class. Some vehicles may be refused at the company’s discretion.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

1. ORIGINAL VALID DRIVING LICENSE The license must be valid for the entire rental period. Temporary driving licenses are not accepted as valid documents, including those without an English translation. If the driving license is issued by a country not signed under the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (08.11.1968), the renter must present an International Driving Permit or a certified translation of the original license.
2. ORIGINAL ID CARD or INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT The document must clearly state the current residential address. The company reserves the right to request a second document confirming the renter’s current address if it is not indicated in the provided documents. Copies of the documents (driving license, ID card or passport) must be sent in advance, after the reservation is confirmed. These copies remain in the company’s archive and may be provided to the authorities in case of violations or fines committed by the driver during the rental period. If the renter has renewed any personal document between the time of making the reservation and the actual rental date, they are required to present the new document.

Car rental prices are divided into 4 seasons: (…)

Availability of sent offers is instantaneous and is not guaranteed until the car is finally booked. The sent price offers are valid for 24 hours, after which the company reserves the right to change the prices.

The price includes:

• 24-hour car rental;
• Unlimited mileage in Bulgaria
• Paid road tax for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria (Vignette);
• Third party liability insurance;
• Full car insurance (except tires and chassis) - upon notification of the company of the event and compliance with insurance conditions;
• Mandatory equipment of the car according to the requirements of the Traffic Police (according to the season);
• Car maintenance, excluding fuel;
• Car replacement in case of mechanical damage that occurred through no fault of the renter;
• Additional driver.

The price does not include:

• Delivery fee and after-hours fee
• Fuel;
• Insurance for damage to tires, rims and chassis

Payment method:

Payment for the entire rental period and all additional fees can be made in advance - partially or fully or at the time of renting the car. For your convenience, you can pay:

• Prepaid online - partially/fully - with your bank card, via a secure link;
• At the time of rental: In cash or by bank card. Additional fees may apply when paying by card. We accept: VISA, VISA ELECTRON, V PAY, MasterCard, Maestro.

The company offers some amenities for you and your trip:

• Delivery-airport/hotel/city town €10–€20
• Outside working hours €15–€35
• Child seats/boosters (per day) €3–€5
• Tire insurance (per day) €5–€12
• Young/New driver (per day) €5–€10
• DATA SIM (different types) €10–€20

Additional fees and services are specified in advance at the time of booking, and the company reserves the right to refuse some.

When handing over the car, a deposit is blocked on a credit card in the driver’s name based on the rates in the price list published on the company’s website.

When traveling abroad, the deposit is double the amount.

The use of deposit cards not in the driver’s name could only be done with the prior approval of the company.

The deposit is refundable if the conditions of the contract are met.

Deductions from the deposit are possible in the event of:

-lack of fuel;

-lack of a traffic accident report;

-failure to inform the company of any damage to the vehicle during the rental period;

-lost license plates (a traffic police report is required); -lost key/car card and all costs related to this circumstance;

-damage to the vehicle as a result of careless and irresponsible driving;

-damage to the vehicle as a result of alcohol and drug use;

-heavy dirt on the interior and cabin of the vehicle;

-broken or missing interior elements;

-for fines and sanctions imposed for non-compliance with the Road Traffic Act of the Republic of Bulgaria (RTA) or other regulatory provisions that occurred during the rental period for a period of up to two years from the date of rental; -by signing this contract, the lesee declares that he has full knowledge and accept the general terms, fully detailed on the back of the contract. The Acceptance Certificate shall be also an integral part of thereof.

You can cancel your reservation completely free of charge, up to at least 7 days before the start date of your reservation.

If you cancel after the specified period, penalties will be charged according to the company’s general terms and conditions. Exceptions are cases of emergency situations (COVID-19, WAR, etc.), in which cancellations are free of charge.

Refund of prepaid amounts is made after deducting bank fees and commissions related to them.

CANCELLATIONS BY THE COMPANY ARE POSSIBLE IN CASES OF PROVISION OF IRREGULAR DOCUMENTS (COPIES, ELECTRONIC FILES AND EVERYTHING OUTSIDE THE ORIGINAL MEDIA), AS WELL AS IN CASE OF TENANTS NOT MEETING THE AGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS.

Traveling abroad with a rented car is subject to prior agreement and additional payment and a doubled deposit.

The company reserves the right to refuse to rent a car outside Bulgaria for some countries.

A one-time fee of at least 70 euros to 170 euros is due (depending on the duration of the rental and the country).

In the event of an accident or damage outside the borders of the Republic of Bulgaria, the lessee is obliged to cover the costs of moving the rented car to the border of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The specified conditions are valid for a total mileage of up to 2000 km. If they are exceeded, 0.15 Euro/km is paid.

In the event that the renter leaves the border of the Republic of Bulgaria with the rented car without being explicitly authorized to do so in a separate power of attorney, he pays compensation in the amount of 1000EUR. In the event of a claim by third parties against the company for the period of the unauthorized departure of the rented car outside the borders of Bulgaria, the renter shall be liable for the culpably caused damages and lost profits. All additional coverages paid by the renter in this case are invalid and he shall be fully liable.
